College Transfer Credit
Transfer credits from regionally and nationally accredited post secondary institutions, as recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), may be accepted for courses that are recommended by their issuing institutions for transfer into undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs.
Acceptance of credit by any institution is at the discretion of the receiving institution. It is the student’s responsibility to confirm whether or not credits accepted by or earned at Western International University® (West) will be accepted by another institution.*
West's Degree Planning Calculator is available to estimate your total potential existing transfer credits, number of remaining courses, and anticipated graduation date and tuition cost for your selected program. An official evaluation will be completed once the official documents are submitted.
NATIONWIDE BLOCK TRANSFER
For any of West's Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degrees, the Nationwide Block Transfer allows a student with an Associate of Arts (AA) and/or an Associate of Science (AS) degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the United States to apply 60 credits toward the bachelor degree.
Upon receipt of an official, degree-posted transcript indicating completion of a prequalifying associate degree, the Nationwide Block Transfer is automatically applied at the time of admittance.
